Jamie is a Florida licensed attorney with a LLM in Taxation from University of Florida.

As a Wisconsinite, she rose from humble beginnings and graduated in 2002 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin. During college, she interned at Schenck Accounting and was offered a full-time position after graduation as a Tax Accountant.

Jamie set her intention on going to law school and, thereafter, graduating with her LLM at one of the top LLM programs in the nation. In 2004, Jamie traveled to Florida to begin law school at University of Florida. After graduating law school in 2008, Jamie was offered a full scholarship and successfully obtained her LLM in Taxation from University of Florida.

EXPERIENCE

After graduating, Jamie began employment at Foley and Lardner at their Orlando and Miami locations and later worked at Kilgore Pearlman, Semanie combining a total of 15 years as an Executive and Corporate Tax and Estate Planning Attorney with both firms.

Today, Jamie specializes in complex estate, tax and Medicaid planning for individuals and families who want to create generational wealth, and business succession planning and tax planning for companies.

Jamie thoroughly reviews all assets and businesses with clients and focuses her attention on structuring and implementing Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts to protect clients’ wealth, discerning tax implications, structuring tax planning, and preserving wealth for clients. This includes the creation of business agreements, charitable giving strategies, business succession planning, and transference of closely held business entities when it protects clients. Jamie has extensive experience using sophisticated estate planning strategies and structures that promote generational wealth management for clients.

PASSION

When Jamie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, traveling and cooking. With her four children now adults, she cherishes traveling to visit them in Colorado, Georgia and Texas.
